Malgudi Days

 Hello guys,

            Have you ever watched malgudi days ? It was my favourite series during my childhood. I used to spend all my summer holidays watching  "Malgudi days". Why Malgudi is so special?. R.K Narayan was a teacher by profession, but later he decided to become a writer. He sat with a book in front of him and started thinking of what to write. Suddenly he started imagining about a boy named Swamy, going to railway station.                                                                                                                                                       

 This imagination laid a base for his Novel "Swamy and Friends". There are many writers in our country but why R.K Narayan is so special?. He always wanted his write ups to be very lively. That is why many people got attracted to his  'Malgudi Days'.  Every character in the series resembles someone in our family, neighbours, near and dear ones. A small boy from a village, don't know what to do in life, but just accepting the situations that he faced resembles every one's childhood memories. The way R.K Narayan handled the subject was so impressive. The place where whole story takes place was named 'Malgudi' - a fictional town.  Reports say that R.K  Narayan named the place as Malgudi because he never wanted people to question him about the names he used. That's why he created a fictional world with real life nativity.
