₹1 → ₹365

🌱 The Beginning

On June 17, 2024, I started something extremely simple — saving ₹1 on Day 1.

No big financial goal.
No complex strategy.
Just a small step towards building discipline and consistency.

The idea was straightforward:

  • Day 1 → ₹1
  • Day 2 → ₹2
  • Day 3 → ₹3
    …and so on.

A growing commitment, one day at a time.

🔄 The Reality Check

Like most habits, it wasn’t perfect.

  • ❌ Missed a day after starting
  • 🔁 Restarted on June 29, 2024 and continued for 3 days
  • ⏸️ Paused again

Then came another attempt:

  • 🔁 Restarted on December 9, 2024
  • ❌ Stopped again after a few days

But this time, something changed.

👉 Instead of restarting from ₹1,
I continued from where I left off.

That small decision made all the difference.

🔥 The Turning Point

This wasn’t just about saving money anymore.

It became about:

  • Showing up even after breaks
  • Continuing instead of restarting
  • Building consistency over perfection

Slowly, this turned into a personal challenge.

🏁 The Milestone

On March 29, 2026, I completed the journey:

➡️ Reached ₹365 on Day 365

Which means:

i=1365i\sum_{i=1}^{365} i

A total that represents not just money, but 365 days of effort, gaps, restarts, and persistence.

💡 What This Really Means

This journey is not about the amount saved.

It’s about:

1. Discipline > Motivation

You won’t feel motivated every day. But discipline keeps you going.

2. Consistency Isn’t Perfect

Missing days is okay.
Stopping is okay.
Not continuing is the only failure.

3. Progress Compounds

₹1 feels small.
₹365 feels meaningful.
The journey transforms the value.

🍔 A Fun Perspective

By the end:

➡️ Saving ₹365 in a day equals
a single food order on platforms like Swiggy/Zomato

But instead of spending instantly,
have built a habit of delayed gratification.
